Erasmus+ is the European Union programme that supports projects, partnerships, mobility and dialogue in education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Built on the experience and success of existing programmes, it aims at boosting skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work in the EU and in its partner countries all over the world. Erasmus+ includes a strong international dimension notably in the fields of higher education and youth.

The National Erasmus+ Offices (NEO) assist the Commission, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), and the Partner Country authorities concerned in the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme. Their mandate covers all supporting, promotion, monitoring and dissemination activities related to the international dimension of Erasmus+ activities in higher education (Credit Mobility, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, Capacity-building Higher Education, Jean Monnet).

Minimum requirements for the post

  • University Master degree; a PhD would be an advantage;
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, some of which with international projects. Project management experience in higher education will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in public administration in the field of HE in Albania or abroad will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and reporting skills;
  • Excellent language skills: oral and written fluency in English and Albanian;
  • Experience as team leader. Team spirit, commitment as well as a strong sense of initiative;
  • Very good knowledge of the local and international environment and the higher education sector in the region;
  • Readiness to travel inside and, occasionally, outside Albania.

Other experience to be considered:

  • Experience in training and communication;
  • Good computer literacy (word, excel, power point).

The “Joint Masters” program has been established since the Bologna Declaration with the Prague Communication and nowadays European universities increasingly offer joint programs as an important tool in internationalization and cooperation within the European Education Area.

 

The national seminar aims to inform, stimulate reflection and debate among lecturers, experts, public officials, on the latest developments of the “Joint Master” program in the Albanian framework.

The event is expected to bring together more than 100 representatives from the country’s universities, various ministries, public agencies operating in higher education, Albanian and EU experts, etc.

Erasmus+ Quiz, the “Erasmus Days 2019” activity organized by NEO Albania

Erasmus+Quiz activity is one of many others activities organized in the City of Tirana during 10-12 October ErasmusDays. The quiz will be focused on Erasmus+ Programs and the students will be able to share with us knowledge and their different experiences. It is a precious opportunity also for the ones who would like to know more about the culture and the places involved in  Erasmus+.

Erasmus+ Office in Tirana kindly invites everybody who has any experience to share, who would like to know more about the Erasmus+ and everybody who would like to have some fun with us.

The Winner will for sure get his/her well-deserved price!

Erasmus days

Dear visitors,

The ErasmusDays initiative, which aims to highlight the enormous positive impact of the Erasmus + Program at the same time in all the countries of the world that are legitimate for participation in the Program, is yet to be held.

The purpose of the event is to present the European values, the benefits of educational mobility, the positive impact of project results and the importance of the Erasmus + Program within a few predefined days so as to be visible and accessible to citizens, businesses, the media and the responsible for the shaping of policies in the sphere.

The initiative was a huge success in 2018 when 1435 events were held in 39 European countries on 12 and 13 October, bringing nearly 116 million citizens from and outside Europe. Events were organized in over 740 settlements in different parts of the world, highlighting the benefits and results of implemented project activities in all educational sectors.

Following this success, it was decided to conduct Erasmus Days and in 2019, on 10, 11 and 12 October.

How to get involved:

  • All current and previous Erasmus + beneficiaries are encouraged to demonstrate the results and impact of their project implementation by organizing a voluntary event (seminar, partner meeting, exhibition, etc.). The event should be registered on the official website of thwww.erasmusdays.eu initiative , which will be officially opened on 9 May 2019. Each registered event will be reflected on the website and will be visible on the Global Map of the initiative.
  • Each of the ten million previous and current participants / end-users in the different activities of the Program (students, students, teachers, youth workers, etc.) are encouraged to share their Erasmus + stories on social networks with a hash # ErasmusDays

Anyone wishing to organize an event on a voluntary basis on 10, 11 or 12 October 2019 could have done so by registering it on the official page of the www.erasmusdays.eu initiative after 9 May 2019, but no later than October 9, 2019

Invitation to the National HERE Seminar on “Enhancing student’s role in HEIs governance and management”, on May 24th, 2018.

The Albanian Erasmus + Office in cooperation with the Albanian HERE team (Higher Education Reform Experts), will organize on May 24th, 2018, 9:30 AM, at the premises of the Polytechnic University of Tirana (Silvano Pedrollo venue), the national seminar on “Enhancing student’s role in HEIs’ governance and management”.

The main objectives of the National HERE Seminar comprise:

–          Discussing students’ role in HEIs based on the requirenments of the HE Law;

–          Enhancing students’ engagement in HEIs governing structures and within HE system;

–          Discussing the organization of the students’ national survey;

–          Exchanging ideas and experiences regarding formal and informal tools in support of students’ engagement;

–          Discussing the development of an instituional culture in support of students’ engagement;

–          Discussing strengthening the students’ role for Quality Assurance in HEIs;

–          Displaying good EU practices employed in support of students and students associations engagements;

–          Discussing the findings of the survey conducted for public HEIs Senate representatives;

–          Developing recommendations on strengthening students’ role in HEIs;

Public Consultation on the future of EU funds

European Commission launched an online survey for gathering feedback from citizens, organizations, public authorities and other stakeholders on current performance and future challenges of EU programmes, comprising Erasmus+. This survey is part of a series of parallel public consultations which will inform the Commission in drafting the proposals for the next generation of financial programmes.

All Albanian beneficiaries of the Erasmus + programme are required to complete the survey, which is found in the link below:

The questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and allows you to pause and save your work and continue later. The deadline for the completion of the questionnaire is March 8 th 2018.
