The Albanian Erasmus + Office participate in the “Week of Europe”.

The Albanian Erasmus+ Office took part in the “EU Assistance Fair”, “Run4EU” marathon and “Erasmus + : Changing lives, Opening minds” events “organized in Albania in 10-11 May, 2017 in the framework of the 2017 Week of Europe”. The “Erasmus +: Changing lives, Opening minds” was organized for commemorating the 30 year anniversary of Erasmus through the personal experiences of students, professors, and other beneficiaries of the programme. This activity was greeted by Ms. Romana Vlahutin, Head of EU Delegation to Albania, Ms. Olta Xhaxhka, Minister of Social Welfare and Youth and Mr. Redi Shtino Deputy Minister of Education and Sport. Ms. Edit Dibra, the Albanian Erasmus Office coordinator used the event for launching the Erasmus+ “My Europe” contest for the best photo, essay and best video. The activity was ended with the birthday cake for the 30th year anniversary of Erasmus which was prepared by the Hotel-Tourism High School students who benefited from the programme.

Regional Info Day in Gjirokastra, held on May 4th, 2017.

The Albanian Erasmus+ Office organized on May 4th, 2017, the regional “Info Day for Erasmus+” held in the city of Gjirokastra. This event was attended by NEO staff, EU Delegation staff as well as over 50 students and lecturers of the “Eqerem Çabej University. The Erasmus + info day at Gjirokastra was part of the 2017 “Week of Europe” activities organized in Albania. Besides promoting the Erasmus+ programme opportunities to the present lecturers and students, this event served for informing the participants on the new students competition, lunched by Albanian Erasmus + Office for the preparation of an essay or a visual art work themed  “My Europe”. The 30 year anniversary of Erasmus programme was a recurring theme of the info day, which was also celebrated with the traditional birthday cake.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “EduLAw”

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Erasmus + CBHE project “Introducing modules on law and rights in programmes of teacher training and educational sciences: A contribution to building rights-based education systems in countries in transition- EduLAw”. This activity was organized at the Albanian Erasmus + office premises, in Tirana, on May 2nd, 2017.

The 3 year (2016-19) EduLAw project aims at enhancing the relevance of teacher education for the development of rights based labour market and society, and to improve the level of competences and skills in HEIs by developing on-line new modules and innovative teacher education programmes.

The project is coordinated by the Free University of Brussels, in Belgium and involves 11 partner institutions from Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, and Albania.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “REBUS”

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Erasmus + CBHE project “Integrating and validating practical entrepreneurship skills in engineering and ICT studies – REBUS”. This activity was organized at the University “Aleksander Xhuvani” premises, in Elbasan, on April 19th, 2017.

The 3 year (2016-19) REBUS project aims at developing, testing, validating and mainstreaming holistic and needs driven open learning modules to promote entrepreneurship competences of graduates of ICT, engineering and other technical studies from the Western Balkans and Russia at the interface of academic education and learning in practice business contexts.

The project is coordinated by the University of Sarajevo, in Bosnia & Herzegovina and involves 14 partner institutions from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Italy, Austria, Germany, Russia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Albania.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ ICM projects at EPOKA University.

The NEO + staff conducted on April 10th, 2017 the field monitoring visit for the International Credit Mobility projects in implementation by the EPOKA University.
This event served to ensure that all binding documents for ICM implementation were signed, for monitoring the fairness of criteria used and transparency of the selection process of participation in mobilities, to enquire on service provision to ICM participants and recognition of the credits earned by them during the mobility period by the EPOKA University, as well as for NEO staff to give recommendations for the improvement of ICM projects implementation in the future.

The EPOKA University, during the September 2015- April 2017 timeframe, has implemented 4 Erasmus + ICM agreements with HEI’s from 4 programme countries.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “K-Force”

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Erasmus + CBHE project “Knowledge for Resilient Society, K-Force” This activity was organized at EPOKA University premises, on April 10th, 2017.

The 3 year (2016-19) K-Force project aims at improving regional resilience to hazards and capability for regional cooperation in risk prevention and response and ensuring national professional resources and regional capacities for building regional-based disaster preparedness and a culture of safety and resilience at all levels according to EU Integration Strategies and National relevant strategies.

The project is coordinated by the University of Novi Sad, in Serbia and involves 14 partner institutions from Serbia, FYRO Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, and Albania.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Tempus project “Lifelong learning for sustainable agriculture in Alps-Danube-Adriatic Region – LIFEADA

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Tempus project “Lifelong learning for sustainable agriculture in Alps-Danube-Adriatic Region – LIFEADA” This activity was organized at the University of Korҫa’s Faculty of Agriculture premises, on March 29th, 2017.

The 3 year (2013-16) LIFEADA project supported the modernization and harmonization of higher education in the Alps Danube-Adriatic region through the development of Lifelong learning (LL) system for sustainable agriculture and by enhancing networking between EU and Partner countries. The project is coordinated by the University of Zagreb, in Croatia and involves 11 partner institutions from Croatia, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Albania.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “euroPS”

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Curriculum Development joint European Political Science MA – euroPS”. This activity was conducted in a joint meeting held at the European University of Tirana premises, on March 13th, 2017.

The 2 year (2015-17) euroPS project aims to develop a joint/multiple Master programme in Political Science to be accredited at all project partners and the development of a multilateral management of this master. The project aims at implementing a multilateral Joint/Multiple Degree (JD) for Political Science on the MA level (120 ECTS) with diploma supplement for all participating partners on a European standard.

The project is coordinated by the University of Salzburg in Austria and involves 10 partner institutions. The European University of Tirana and the Faculty of Social Sciences in the University of Tirana are the Albanian beneficiaries of the project.

Field Monitoring Visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “BESTSDI”

The NEO + staff conducted the field monitoring visit for the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Western Balkans Academic Education Evolution and Professional’s Sustainable Training for Spatial Data Infrastructures – BESTSDI”. This activity was conducted in a joint meeting held at the Agricultural University of Tirana’s Faculty of Biotechnology and Food on March 7th, 2017.
The 3 year (2016-19) BESTSDI project aims at improving the the quality of higher education in Geographical Science and Technology, SDI and geodesy, as well as enhance its relevance for the labor market and society.

The project is coordinated by the University of Zagreb in Croatia and involves 18 partner institutions.
