Venue: Polytechnic University of Tirana
The Albanian Higher Education Reform Expert team and the Albanian Erasmus + Office organized on May 24th, 2018, at the premises of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the national seminar on “Enhancing student’s role in HEIs’ governance and management”. The seminar was greeted by Mr., Ervin Demo, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
This event brought together more than 50 managers, lecturers, career offices staff, student bodies’ representatives and students from Albanian universities who discussed on steps and mechanisms needed to overcome current barriers and increase students’ engagement in the governing, quality control and general activities in Albanian HEIs. In addition, the participants had the chance to learn on good practices employed in Scotland for supporting students’ participations in the governance and management of their universities. The seminar conclusions in the form of list of recommendations will be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
