National Seminar on ‘Financing Higher Education Institutions in the framework of the new Law of Higher Education” | National Erasmus+ Office

The Albanian Erasmus + Office in cooperation with the Albanian HERE team (Higher Education Reform Experts) organized on November 20, 2015 at the premises of University “Fan Noli” in Korca, the national seminar on “Financing Higher Education Institutions in the framework of the new Law of Higher Education”.

This event brought together academic staff members from universities in Tirana, Elbasan, Shkodra, Korca, Gjirokastra, Vlora, members of the National Commission on the Reform of Higher Education, as well as representatives from the EU Delegation, Ministry of Education and Sports etc. During this activity, the lectors introduced and discussed various issues pertaining to the financial management of Albanian HEIs, comprising the current financing scheme and the funding scheme foreseen by the new law of higher education.  In addition, Prof. Enora Pruvot provided inputs on various performance-based funding schemes and successful models of implementation.

In the end, the seminar conclusions were structured in the form of document of recommendations to be shared with the Ministry of Education and Sports and pertinent government agencies.
