On June 28, 2019, at the Agricultural University of Tirana, the National Erasmus+ Office organize the field monitoring visit for the ALMARS project “Capacity building for Blue Growth and curriculum development of Marine Fishery in Albania”. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission, CBHE Erasmus+ programme. ALMARS Project with a focus on Enhancing the Marine Fishery Industry in Albania. The specific objectives of the project are:
To conduct detailed analysis of current status of marine fishery industry in Albania
To develop and test the joint professional master degree in marine fishery at Albanian universities.
To develop networking for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and information among stakeholders in marine field.
To improve skills of seafarers according to the IMO standards and requirements of EU legislation.
The project, with a consortium of 8+1 partners from Europe and Albania, has just started its first year of implementation. The Albanian universities participating in this project are: Agricultural University of Tirana (AUT), University of Vlora “Ismail Qemali” (UV), Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës (UAMD).
