Announcement of the new International Erasmus MSc degree program: “Smart Maritime & Surveying Systems”
In October 2021, a new International Erasmus MSc degree program will be launched for international postgraduate students interested in ICT/IoT for Maritime & Marine applications. This program is a 1-year multidisciplinary (Maritime, Marine, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Computing) and taught entirely in English, in Greece or Slovenia according to the chosen specialization path. The specialization paths are:
– Maritime IoT Systems (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia)
– Marine Surveying Underwater Drones (International Hellenic University, Greece)

Program Highlights:
The MSc degree is funded via the Erasmus+ Program, offering a total of 40 scholarships (covering fees & mobility costs) for the first academic year (Oct 2021 – June 2022), in addition to a one-month industrial practice across Europe at the end of the study period. The program is designed to educate the next generation of engineers, marine & maritime professionals with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the rapidly rising “Smart Maritime/Marine” industry. This joint multidisciplinary Masters degree is developed by a consortium of six leading European universities (International Hellenic University, Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, Maritime University of Szczecin, University of Ljubljana, Tallinn University of Technology, University of Salamanca), two SME’s (Cerca Trova Ltd, ECQA GmbH), one research centre (National Institute for Marine Research and Development “Grigore Antipa”) and three environmental surveying & shipping companies (RINA Hellas SA, Creocean & Danaos Shipping Company Ltd).
