On 16 of December 2024, the Albanian Erasmus+ Office held online the  “National Information
Day Erasmus+”, during which the ‘New Calls for Applications 2025 in Higher Education’ were
promoted.
During this activity, the audience was informed about the opportunities that the Erasmus+
program offers for HEIs and our students, as well as getting to know more concretely about the
applications for the ‘New Calls 2025’.
After the greeting speech by representative of EU Delegation in Albania, it started the first
session dedicated to ‘CBHE applications and how to prepare a successful application for a new
call’. There were three presenters, both of them CBHE coordinators, from New York University
of Tirana, Logos University and ‘Aleksander Moisiu’ University of Durres who explained in detail
the features of the applications according to different categories, advised the applicants what
they should emphasize and what to avoid during preparing a CBHE project application and
afterwards, they explained in details their done work during the preparation of their winning
project.
After that, the next session was dedicated to ICM activity. Three other presenters, respectively
from the ‘Ismail Qemali’ University of Vlora, the ‘Aleksander Xhuvani’ University of Elbasan and
‘Marin Barleti’ University of Tirana, gave a full overview of the ICM activity in general and they
moved on to the work being done in their universities to successfully perform this activity at their
home university.
The Info Day was ended with the ‘Jean Monnet’ session. Both presenters from the ‘Aleksander
Xhuvani’ University of Elbasan, the Polytechnic University of Tirana and the ‘Institute of
European Studies’ of Tirana University gave detailed information on all activities of the Jean
Monnet program such as: Module, Chair, ‘Centre of Excellence’; relevant objectives; topics and
news of ‘New calls 2025’. Afterwards, each presenter continued with a detailed explanation of
the Modules JM and Chair JM they had won, carefully advising the participants what they
should keep in mind when drafting the new proposal.
Each session was followed by questions and answers given by the presenters or the Albanian
Erasmus+ Office.
