Activity: Monitoring Visit of BKSTONE Project

On January 14, the National Erasmus + Office conducted a monitoring visit of the #BKSTONE project “Higher Education – Enterprise platform for fostering, modernization and sustainable growth in the natural stone industry in the Western Balkans”.
The project is supported by the Erasmus + program built by 15 Partners coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Tirana, 2 others are from Albania: the University of Elbasan, “Aleksandër Xhuvani” and the University of Gjirokastra, “Eqrem Çabej”.
Some of the achievements that the project aims to achieve are:
- To support innovative technological training, as well as practice-based, based on the approach and format of the courses to be developed.
- Contribute to the full involvement of stakeholders in the stone industry, encouraging their participation in the conception and testing stages of materials development.
- Promote active and constructive learning among students as an indispensable tool for working in the stone sector, testing new opportunities in partner countries.
- Establishment of a network platform involving representatives of the Stone Sector, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and VET organizations of the EU program and partner countries based on the full implementation of the project
