On January 18, The National Erasms+ Office held the Monitoring meeting of the MARDS Project “Reforming doctoral studies in Montenegro and Albania – good practice paradigm” supported by the Erasmus + Program “Capacity Building in Higher Education”.

  • The MARDS project is built by 16 partners, 4 Albanian HEIs, the University “Luigj Gurakuqi” Shkodra, the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the University “Ismail Qemali” Vlora and the Metropolitan University, in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
  • The MARDS project is in its second year of implementation and addresses one of the most important problems in the education systems in Montenegro and Albania, doctoral studies.
  • The main objective is to rebuild them in accordance with the Salzburg Principles and to establish a stable and modern Joint Doctoral Pilot School between the two neighboring partner countries and will serve as an example of “good practice” for the Western Balkans Region.
