‘Contact Seminar between Dutch HEIs and WB HEIs’
‘Contact Seminar between Dutch HEIs and WB HEIs’ jointly organized by Dutch Erasmus+ Agency and Albanian Erasmus+ Office, was held during 21-23 of June 2023, in Tirana.
The first day of the regional contact seminar, was opened by the participants’ reception offered by the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Albania, at his residence.
The second day of activity, 22nd of June 2023, was organized at ‘Silvano Pedrollo’ room of Tirana Polytechnic University.
In this event there were many representatives from Dutch HEIs, Albanian HEIs and WB region’ HEIs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro, as well.
After the greetings speech delivered by the Ambassador of the Netherlands Embassy in Albania, Team Lead HE from Dutch Agency Erasmus+ and the Albanian NEO coordinator, the event was followed up by the first panel discussion: ‘Setting the Scene’. The speakers of this panel from Dutch Agency Erasmus+ and by three NEOs respectively from Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, widely discussed about the strategy that they would suggest to supporting the internationalization at their home institutions. They emphasized the fact that through mobilities, more and more students and staff from WB HEIs have been involved, who are happy with these opportunities offered them by the Erasmus+ program.
Afterwards, the activity continued by second panel discussion: ‘Opportunities, Challenges and Good Practices’, where speakers from University of Pristina, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Mediterranean University of Podgorica, International University of Travnik and Albanian Mediterranean University, firstly, shared their experience on the mobilities’ management at their home HEI and in the end, they discussed about the possibilities of future cooperation on Erasmus+ mobilities in general, and more specifically with Dutch HEIs.
After the lunch break, the WB HEIs participants continued by bilateral meetings with Dutch HEIs.
Informally, the participants’ networking was followed by a social dinner organized by Dutch Erasmus+ Agency.
The 23rd of June, the last day of the event’ agenda, ended by the site visits of Dutch HEIs representatives in their homologue Albanian Universities, mainly in Tirana.
